UNDERSTANDING CHRONIC PAIN
Chronic pain is complex, persistent, and exhausting.
When your body starts behaving in ways you can’t rely on, life can quickly feel overwhelming. Fatigue, fogginess, poor sleep, and difficulty keeping up with day-to-day life are all common.
Often, there’s no clear diagnosis or perfect explanation. Symptoms can vary from day to day and sometimes feel out of proportion. Many people with chronic pain feel misunderstood, unsupported, and unsure where to turn.
You don’t have to face this alone.

PARTNERSHIP AND MULTIDISCIPLARY APPROACH
Trust, cooperation, and open communication between patient and practitioner create the foundation for progress.
We work together — sharing insights, adjusting plans, and building a bond that supports both your body and your confidence.
When appropriate, I coordinate with other therapists or your doctor as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring you receive complete and fully aligned care
WHAT TO EXPECT:
COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT
We’ll review your medical history, connect the dots, and clarify any medical reports that haven’t been explained clearly. We’ll explore how your symptoms began, how they’ve changed, and what’s affecting them today.HANDS-ON TREATMENT
Using manual therapy — such as remedial massage, gentle joint mobilisation, and soft-tissue release — we’ll aim to reduce tension, ease discomfort, and improve movement. These sessions also help us explore pain patterns in your body, giving us more insight into what might be contributing to your symptoms.MODERN PAIN SCIENCE — MADE SIMPLE
I’ll explain how pain works in the body, including the role of the nervous system, the influence of stress, and why symptoms can fluctuate. The goal is to help you make sense of your experience, so you feel more informed and less uncertain.LIFESTYLE & STRESS REVIEW
We’ll discuss relevant lifestyle factors, fears, and doubts that may be influencing your symptoms, and set small, achievable goals that work in your daily life.GRADUAL MOVEMENT & EXERCISE
We’ll start with what you can do now, then progress to specific exercises that improve strength, control, and confidence — always at a pace that feels safe and manageable.NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION
You’ll learn practical tools to help calm your system during flare-ups and recognise early signs of dysregulation, so you can respond before symptoms escalate

Frequently Asked Questions
Osteopathy is a holistic approach that combines manual therapy, movement, and education. It is not just massage — sessions are tailored to relieve discomfort, improve strength, and help you manage your pain more effectively in everyday life.
Yes. I provide osteopathy and chronic pain support in your home or chosen location, so you can receive care without the stress of travel.
In the first session, I take a detailed history of your pain and health. This includes past medical issues, scans, surgeries, medications, and anything else that might influence your care. Whenever possible, you may also receive gentle manual therapy straight away.
From session two onward, treatment is based on hands-on therapy, ongoing discussions about how you are responding, small "homework" tasks such as simple exercises or educational readings, and—when you are ready—gradual introduction of exercise.
No. Massage may be part of your treatment, but every session is broader. I combine soft tissue work, joint mobilization, movement education, and tailored exercise. The aim is not just to ease discomfort in the moment, but to support lasting change and help you feel stronger and more independent.
Exercise is always tailored to your ability, comfort, and goals. For some people, it begins with very simple movements such as supported sit-to-stand from a chair, gentle walking, or mobility drills. For others—such as younger clients or those with fewer restrictions—we may start with more structured strength or cardiovascular exercise straight away.
The key is that exercise is introduced at the right level for you, whether that means beginning small and building gradually, or moving into more advanced activity sooner. The aim is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and better able to manage pain over time.
A 60-minute chronic pain session is £85. Extended sessions and multi-session packages are also available at discounted rates. All fees are clear and agreed before we begin.
Yes. Chronic pain often requires a team approach. I am happy to collaborate with your GP, specialists, or other therapists so that your care is consistent and supportive.
