Osteopathy for Oncology Patients
Living with cancer or its treatments can place extra strain on your body — from fatigue and tension to joint aches, stiffness, and reduced mobility. Travelling to clinics can add unnecessary stress.
That’s why I offer gentle osteopathy at home — adapted to your needs, safe, and supportive, so you can focus on comfort, mobility, and wellbeing in your own space.
As a registered osteopath, I’m trained in differential diagnosis and work alongside your medical team. My role isn’t to treat cancer itself, but to support your body, ease discomfort, and help maintain independence and quality of life.
What Osteopathy Can Offer During Cancer Care
- Gentle relief for muscle tension, stiffness, or sore joints
- Support for mobility and walking capacity — crucial for independence
- Relaxation techniques to reduce stress and improve sleep
- Safe movement routines using bands, bodyweight, or whatever is available at home
- Encouragement and reassurance to feel more in control of your body
How Sessions Are Adapted for You
Every oncology journey is different. That’s why sessions are flexible and always adapted to your energy levels on the day:
- Gentle hands-on therapy — massage, soft tissue release, and joint support to ease irritation
- Movement & exercise — light strengthening or balance work with bands or bodyweight
- Relaxation-focused care — if you’re tired or low in energy, the session can focus entirely on comfort and stress reduction
- Education & reassurance — simple, practical suggestions to help you feel more confident day to day
Some clients use this time to maintain their mobility; for others, it’s about reducing tension and finding calm. The goal is always your comfort and wellbeing.
Safety & Boundaries
Your safety is my first priority:
- I take a full case history and adapt treatment to your condition, stage of treatment, and medical advice.
- I liaise with other healthcare professionals when needed.
- I never claim to treat cancer — osteopathy supports your body during or after treatment, it does not replace oncology care.

Book BundlesFrequently Asked Questions
Is osteopathy safe for cancer patients?
Yes. Sessions are always adapted to your condition, energy levels, and medical advice. I never treat cancer directly, but I support your body with gentle techniques.
What happens in a first session?
I’ll take a full case history, listen to your needs, and adapt treatment accordingly. This might be gentle massage, light movement, or simply relaxation and reassurance.
Do I need GP or oncology approval?
No referral is required, but I encourage communication with your oncology team so all care works together.
What if I feel too tired on the day?
That’s okay — sessions are flexible. Some days may focus only on relaxation or light mobility. Everything is adapted to your energy.
Where do you offer this service?
Home visits across London (Zones 1–3). This allows you to receive care without the stress of travelling to a clinic.
